Three things, mostly.
Tuition assistance
This is the big one. Every year, families apply for help with tuition — and some of them are families who would otherwise have to leave. Assistance is what keeps a child in the same classroom, with the same teachers, for the full three years the program was built around. It comes almost entirely from what the community gives.
Classroom supplies
The materials, the art supplies, the books, the things that get used up over a year by thirty-six children.
The playground and the grounds
Equipment gets replaced, paths get repaired, wood chips get refreshed, and toys get replaced when they wear out.
why it matters
We keep tuition as low as we can.
Redbud is a small nonprofit. Tuition mostly covers the running of the school and not much else, which is by design — keeping it as low as a parent cooperative can manage is part of the point.
Everything past that comes from donations. Redbud is a registered 501(c)(3), and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows.
the auctionOne night in spring.
Once a year, Redbud parents throw an auction — our school’s biggest fundraising event of the year. Every family donates an item (or service) to the auction, and the rest comes from local businesses. By the end of the night the school has funded most of what the next year needs.

Our auction is open to anyone who would like to join us — grandparents, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors, community members. If you’re interested in attending, please contact us.
